By using this on a 100w solar panel Created a small MC4 for this adapter and used in my shed outside and is currently covered in snow for a few months. Very durable cable compared to all other SAE cables I've found. Not sure what the voltage drop is distance due to the way I've mounted my panel (convenience over maximum efficiency - right on my south-facing barn wall), but I know that with the spaghetti-noodle cables so common in this form factor would be worse.
