Review on CIPA 45292 Manual Replacement Passenger by Joseph Rasmussen

Revainrating 2 out of 5

like OEM mirrors are poorly constructed and .

I bought these replacement mirrors for my '93 Ford F150, they are a poor design just like the OEM mirrors and the die cast aluminum lever breaks at the slightest impact and the quality of the aluminum castings in them after-market mirror is very bad, worse than OEM. As an upgrade for my truck I also have some LED turn signals that are located behind the mirror glass itself and since there is no good way to remove all of the glass to install the LED lights I just smashed the existing mirror glass . Replacement mirror glass is available for these mirrors, but I have found that they only work with OEM mirrors and not these lower quality knockoffs. The size specs for mirror glass in these CIPA mirrors are smaller than the OEM FMC mirrors for this F150 and the replacement glass doesn't fit, it would fit the original Ford mirrors for this truck and now I'm stuck trying to fix that Replacement glass to shrink for the CIPA mirror.
