Headlights mostly match the description, but there are a few things people should be aware of. The headlights actually measure 4.75 x 1.25 inches. I'm not sure what size they posted. If you mount the lamps on metal plates, you will have to pull out the sleeve a little where the wire runs. After that, the metal plate is mounted flush with the back of the lantern. Be VERY careful when tightening the nuts that attach the light to the metal plate. No need to over tighten the nut to break the plastic body of the lights and then let the water through. Ideally, these points should be reinforced to avoid this possibility. I only tightened until the lock washer was flat and I could loosen the nut with my fingers. I'll keep an eye on them to make sure they don't weaken over time. The cable assembly, which connects the 4-pin trailer plug with the two headlights, is somewhat irrelevant. The first one I received was defective (one of the soldered wires broke) and the company sent me a replacement 2 days later which was much appreciated (I called support twice and both times my question/problem was resolved quickly) . However, the connectors that connect this cable to the two lights are simply exposed to the weather. There is no impregnation at all, so I'm not sure about their durability. After installing them, I wrapped both connectors with good quality tape to provide some water protection. The last comment concerns the attachment of the license plate. I love this idea and in our setup (bike rack) we really need to add a place for the rear license plate somewhere so it's visible. Brackets work well. The problem is the idea/hope that the lanterns will light up the slab at night. It's not like that at all. I'm sure the license plate would be illegal at night and night driving requires another light specifically for the license plate. I attached a photo and blurred the last digits of the license plate, but the first digits remained intact. It's probably slightly better than the photo due to the bright light in the photo, but even at night it's impossible to read the license plate. In the kit, these headlight mounts rust quite badly on the brackets. Obviously no SS, so I recommend throwing them away and installing better screws. The rest of the headlights work perfectly.
