I bought these to cut 3/4 inch thick oak. I went ahead and started with the strongest blade since it says it can cut through hardwoods up to 1 1/2 inches thick. At first I thought I might have turned off the blade speed or tension, so I loaded another blade and tried it out on a piece of pine. It cut decently, and when I put the 3/4 inch oak back in, the blade stuck about 1/2 in the cut.
