I ordered this GPS a few months ago after deciding to buy a new one instead of paying $65 for map updates. It made little sense to me to pay a little less for an upgrade than for a brand new one. Of course I like it much better. They have improved the functions so that you can not only make it easier to enter an address, but also see the current speed as well as the displayed speed. The maps seem much more complete (although this may be because I'm back in "civilization" and not living in Oklahoma. Numbers and text are faster and easier to type on the same screen when typing an address I found out from a friend who works at Garmin that this particular model will be discontinued soon which explains the very low price for a new one *shrug* I agree with that I got a good discount on a good GPS with got much better performance. And it still uses the same cable and holder which means less hassle. It did come with a cable and dash stand though which is a great thing.Overall I'm very happy with it.
