Review on πŸ”¬ The Ultimate Fermentation Kit: Masontops Complete Mason Jar Set for Easy DIY Vegetable Fermenting by Curtis Nice

Revainrating 1 out of 5

First use and many failures. Just use water pipes.

UPDATE::::: Well I contacted MasonTops directly to report my issue. They responded with what appeared to be a prepared answer. I've since lost 2 cans of gardeneria and 2 cans of processed sauerkraut. I thought the yeast had turned into mold. Funny, the cabbage that didn't go bad was the cabbage with the water collector system. Of course I want to return all 8 of these brine tubes but I don't have 30 days to return them. The ONLY reason I'm happy with 1 star is because pebbles are the best weight I've found. Easy to remove. The cabbage pound is good, but I have another one with a longer stem. A book or recipes, nothing I don't already have. The brine tubes cost me more money, which added up to about 100.00 in losses, without hours of preparation and days of "trying" to ferment. I say buy the pebbles but save money for the rest and go with the flood channel. It hasn't let me down yet. Oh, and this is my first time using pickled pipes. With many failures. .END OF UPDATE. Well I had high hopes for these pickled pipes. I LOVE inlaid pebbles. Easy to hold, easy to wash. The pouch is beautiful. But pipes. I wanted them to work better than the long water hoses. But I found the pipes were losing brine and had my first experience of fluffy white clumps. I'm still not sure if it was yeast or mold. I drank it all with a spoon and am waiting for more beets to appear on my quart. So. hence the bad rating. We look forward to what will happen next. Masontops if you have any suggestions I'm all listening as I have 8 of your brine tubes and 5 are currently in use. The upper left red brine tube is a lint growing device. Plus 49.99 per set. 21.95 only for 4 brine tubes. It's kinda cool. Especially if a white fuzz appears on my beets regularly. Open to suggestions. Added photo of Gardeneria, Cam yeast or Mold? Everyone?
