Perfect fit, easy replacement of transmission cable grommet.
This brilliant renovation saved me $150 at work and more. Instead of replacing the entire transmission cable, simply remove the old grommet, put in a new one and install the C-clamp. I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 and it suits me perfectly. I used a 5/8 bit to carefully remove the old buckle to make sure the overall hold wasn't too big. Then secure it with large pliers and install the C-clip. See attached photos.
