Review on Shop Fox W1322 Anti Vibration 24 Inch by Antonio Rojas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for 3D printing

Great for my application! I started investing more money in my 3D printing setup and bought a large sheet of 3/4 inch plywood and cut it into 2 x 3 foot sections to provide enough area for my two 3D printers . The table I use is a 6 5 gallon water jug holder [ ASIN: B001I0EFIO ]. Aside from that, the plastic nature of the table glides across the polished cement floor in my garage. Purchasing this mat has reduced my vibrations and completely eliminated the slippage problem. I bought small adhesive backed rubber patches and glued them to the sides of the 3/4 inch plywood backing where they meet the wall. These upgrades cost around $50, but for my 3D printing needs, they greatly improved the quality of the prints and looked pretty good once installed too. As for the smell; I bought a used seal from the Revain Warehouse which I believe was a throwback due to such frequent complaints. Since this happened in my garage, I didn't care at first. Once received I can confirm that it does have an odor but it's not as overpowering as others may claim. I gave him a few sprays of Fabreeze and it seemed to work on the smell a bit. In conclusion, yes I highly recommend this if you want to reduce vibration or add friction to your table base. I'm planning to buy a second block to put directly onto my sheet of plywood. I'm already testing the one I put on the floor when I first got it; The pillow is slightly larger than the 2'x3' dimensions they offer, but it's always better to get more than less, I can always trim off the excess if I'd like.
