Shop Fox W1322 Anti Vibration 24 Inch Review

Over the years I've used slightly thicker and softer pads to hold wood for milling. When I was looking for a new one, almost every so-called router pad or mat I could find was the thin waffle variety, which wasn't adequate for my purpose. I like the old ones because with a little smoothing I can toss them on the bench where they lay flat. Even if they are worn well, they still do their job. However, this style also seems unattainable. This mat is thinner and a bit flimsy than I'd like it to be,

I bought this because it was advertised as neoprene. I wanted to use its friction for slippery surfaces and prevent slipping. For example, I use it when laying a ladder on a polished wooden floor to increase friction. Or on a workbench if a pad is needed. Good news: it increases friction. I wanted something to deaden the noise of my sewing machine but didn't want to spend the amount that is usually advertised for a "special anti-vibration" sewing machine mat. This Shop Fox W1322 anti-vibration pad works perfectly! I just cut it with scissors to fit the bottom of my sewing machine. Works great. Now sewing is quieter and my sewing machine stops. I started investing more money in my 3D printing setup and bought a large sheet of 3/4 inch plywood and cut it into 2 x 3 foot sections to provide enough area for my two 3D printers .
