Quality control needs more attention. The focus wheel seems to have a burr because it's sticky and not easy or smooth to operate. Tried the second pair and got the same answer. I called Vortex, they said they would fix it. Why should I wait for a refurbished pair for the full price I paid? By the way, they said that there is no discount for repairs. I will try again (because I have excellent Diamondback 8x42 binoculars) and after that I will never look at Vortex again because there are many other high quality binoculars out there. I am so disappointed.
