Review on Noise Cancelling Sleep Therapy: Yogasleep Dohm Classic (Pink) White Noise Machine by David West

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works for me! best in my review

I have three white noise machines. One I don't care for and another I use all the time. Here are the pros and cons of the Yogasleep Dohm. This has a large footprint compared to my other machines. It's 5 inches in diameter and about 3 1/2 inches high. Out of the box, there is a strong plastic/chemical smell so I left it outside to air. Two days in, it's much better. There's a switch on the side: This is easy to figure out. Press the top of the button in and you get lower volume. Press the bottom of the switch in and you get the full monty.BUT you can still control the volume even beyond that, and this is the machine's best feature IMO.The top swivels, and there are 8 holes on the top of the machine and 7 vents/holes on the side. By swivelling the top of the machine, you can custom the sound . More open holes = louder. This ONLY has the fan type of white noise, so no rain, birds tweeting, storms etc. Just the fan. On the high volume, there are, at least on my machine, two very distinct sounds. There's the fan on top, but it almost sounds like someone is blasting the hairdryer in the background. I disliked that, so I keep this on the lower volume but with most vents/holes open. And the cord on mine is over 7 feet long, so it's very generous. I use this machine as a secondary machine in the bathroom, so I have 2 machines going at once. It's a second line of defense.

Pros
  • Adjustable volume control to assist with your preferences
Cons
  • Not compatible with all types of furniture
