I can't believe I've been scanning documents with all-in-ones for so many years. I have never thought of buying an Epson product. All of this has changed. It actually makes 25 ppm. Two-sided documents also have a speed of 25 pages per minute, so 50 pages per minute. When I need high resolution (600 pixels per inch) it slows things down a bit. APD works great. After almost 5 months of daily use it has never jammed except maybe a few times when I didn't remove the braces. You can't blame the scanner for that. Unlike my HP all-in-ones, it opens instantly and paper jams are easy to clear. The software is pretty good. I thought it should do OCR but I haven't found a way to do it yet. I use Adobe Acrobat Pro for OCR so this is not a problem for me. No claims to resolution at any settings - for black and white or color. Very small when folded. At the risk of looking like a flagship product, there's nothing about this scanner that I don't like. They did a great job developing it and making it easy to use. It's a shame that I haven't switched to this document scanner for a long time.
