Switch Battery Killer
I bought this to replace the bell button I use as the start switch on my garden tractor. This monster has an open resistance of one kOhm, so the battery is constantly being drained by 10mA. I took it apart and found that the contacts were attached to a non-insulating substrate - in the trash.
