The best energy converter for on the go!

---------------Update 2018 2 years: I have been using it for about 2 years now. In addition to a previous trip to Italy, I have used it abroad in China, Iceland and Grand Cayman, as well as many times locally. I had a little trouble finding the right socket for my curling iron in China, but I managed. Otherwise the thing blew on without any problems. Hooked up phones, camera batteries, AA chargers, even a pico projector and a Raspberry Pi gaming system and it did it all! ------------------ Original Review: I bought this bad boy on purpose. for my trip to Italy at the end of September. Between my travel partner and I we had quite a few different devices that needed power at some point and it worked flawlessly. I've used the standard power supply twice, mostly plugging into 2 amp USB ports while my travel partner used a curling iron and what I had. . Never disappointed. I also used this at the airport when people reached for the power buttons (plug in this and the US adapter and some of you can charge at the same time) and the other person (plus a few others) was grateful for the extra slots. Yes, there's a fan onboard, and it's noisy (less than a standard spinning fan), but that's a small price to pay for stable, reliable, and varied power options. I tried teflon wax lube and it worked for a day or two but went away. No big deal though. I've tried several different power supplies and they usually turn off/on when hitting point current, but this kept happening. Coincidentally, the couple we met had the same (different brand but clearly same device) and loved them.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Brief instructions
