Review on 🔧 Enhanced Performance Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly by MOOG Steering & Suspension: CK620956 by Matt Tebow

The only way.

I swapped the left and right sides on my 2009 4WD 1500 Sierra truck. This is the only way. No need to rent a ball joint press and try to press out the old one or install the new one. Some stores will "rent” presses for free, but in my experience they are worn out or don't have the right equipment. This comes with new bushings so all you have to do is pull out the bushing bolts and push out the ball joint cone. I didn't have to remove the hub as usual. It took me about 4 hours for both sides. I'm not a pro, just a shade tree mechanic. I could do it faster but I'm getting old and slow. :-) It's worth noting that Moog changed the design of the trunk seal. The new design is now part of the ball joint connector making the unit look like it doesn't have a gasket. Old-style boots were worn over everything and were highly visible. They released a PDF document about the change. Instead, when I went to straighten it, the mechanic found that the trunk was missing on the right side. I had to show him the document. The left side was old stock so it had the original design trunk.

Cons
  • Not the best
