Review on ๐Ÿงฅ Humvee Nylon Combat Vest: Enhanced Safety & Secure Zipper Design by Rich Rickenbaugh

Absolutely normal. Check under heavy use.

Like OK. I wear this vest basically all the time I'm awake on weekdays so ymmv. I had them worn to work because my - dear - late - Humvee photographer's vest wasn't really designed for what I was going through. The bags started blowing out, and even after frequent repairs, this was done in a year. I bought it because of the cheapness and the fact that it's nylon. The pockets and lower half of the vest seem to be pretty solid, but the mesh in the corners started tearing after about two days. I apply a thin coat of superglue to the inside of the seams and around the edges of the mesh to keep it from falling apart. The situation has not deteriorated in the past three weeks. The zippers work fine and the side pockets don't flip or dangle, which is nice. I would expect the nylon and zippers to hold up much better when working than the flimsy cotton and velcro on a photographer's vest. A practical strap with a tab at the front has fallen off on the left side. It didn't break, it just came loose. I don't mind messing around with my clothes, but keep this in mind if you use them frequently. I recommend covering all the edges of the mesh and its connecting seams with some super glue or something else once you know you want to keep it.

Pros

Cons
