Spent a whole day searching the internet for spring seats for my Jeep CJ. Installing axle springs on a Jeep makes it difficult to find suitable spring lugs that are not long enough to prevent the spring from moving These are the same dimensions as the spring mounting plate on top of the YJ OME springs, which I use. The welds already look good, but there is some weld spatter that needs to be ground off before installation. These perches bring the axle about 0.50" over the axle, which is something to consider on a SUA Jeep build .I've seen a lot of perches there that are closer to 1" thick. What's up? On a vehicle, the SUA lowers the vehicle an additional .50" more than this. One thing I don't even see on the Daystars website could find is what radius they had Ic h have a Ford 9" rear axle with a 3.25" OD I found a few that were listed for a 3.25" axle but were either too big, too long or too expensive. On a 3.25" diameter axle they have a lot of clearance in the middle, the only place they touch is at the outer corners. When mounted on my 2.75" Dana 44 front axle, they also fit anywhere with play except at the outer corners. However, this leaves a very good weld gap for good penetration. So I'm just going to grind a large radius. Perches fit my 9" Ford axle. The bottom line is, if you want perches that don't require mounting on an axle larger than 2.75", don't buy these. But if you're running a smaller axle or nothing On the other hand, if you have to spend a little time grinding, it's good value for hard bass.
