Review on Tandy Leather Heavy Setter 8104 00 by Summer Hendricks

First I want to justify over $100 for a proper set of heavy duty locking tools. Not going with it - this set of snap installers works most of the time. Some marine grade stainless steel latches can be installed, but that takes effort and requires a really hard/solid surface to hammer on. The Tandy Mini Anvil also slightly deforms/bends the base of the latch during installation. Overall, it gets the job done and is solid enough that I'm comfortable fending it off. The long handle also makes it easier to work with, so it's better than other snap punches I've tried. In a way, you get what you pay for as this setter costs around $20.
