This is the third security camera system I've tried in the last month, I've returned the other two, both were a waste of time. I am still testing this system, Isotect. It has by far the best wireless range of the three and the option to display either/or a monitor or a TV suits me, the tiny 6 inch monitors sold with some other systems are a waste of time and the display on a smartphone, it's also a pity, the picture is too small. I have a large area, 20 acres, and the distance from our car service to the house is about 400 feet. As long as the requirements of all systems are 1000 feet in open air, no obstacles. Doesn't happen to any of them, the best I've got is about 300ft with no obstructions, walls etc. However, this system allows you to use closer cameras as repeaters for cameras that are out of range and this seems to work very well . My store cam is about 400 feet from home but I have another camera about 100 feet away and it can follow the store cam and I get full signal, it works. I actually had a camera on me right away and the company website doesn't exist, their email doesn't exist and the phone number was sent to an answering machine with no call back for the first 2 days. After contacting Revain customer service they put me in contact with Isotect who informed me that they are setting up a new website and gave me a new email address but this does not inspire confidence in that Company if you have to do anything talk to them. They swapped out the camera and I worked with them to view their app on a smartphone, pc or tablet. It's not great and I still can't download their app. The NVR interface and software is a little rough and slow, cameras with strong signal still turn on and off regularly, I've added antennas to boost the signal to fix this issue with some success. Overall, this system is the best available, but still needs some work. Update (04/18/19): Customer service was very good, they contacted me immediately and quickly replaced the failed camera and power supply. Now the system is working fine and it has been running stably for 5 days. Update (11/24/2020): Cameras start to glitter, constant freezing of the image and/or lag in the video stream, making surveillance almost impossible. Customer service told me this is to be expected after 18 months! Indeed, 18 months and it's time to buy another system, well at least they were polite. End up buying another brand that supports their products a little better. 2 stars because of support response time, hardware 1 star.
