Review on 🖨️ Enhanced 3D Printer Filament Accuracy—Advanced Printers by Christopher Clearfield

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great yarn, bad spool, buy it!

TEMPS, BED Tack and Product Info: Never used this brand of filament. When I order from Revain I usually buy Overture and have never had a problem. I usually start with the average settings recommended by the manufacturer. The sticker on this thread says 210-240C and I started with 220. So low it won't stick to the bed. After many attempts to level the bed I finally ran some Overture thread and it layed out perfectly (so leveling wasn't a problem). Then I started playing with tempi. After looking at the reviews here and doing some other research, I found that the IDEAL TEMPERATURE FOR THIS filament is 235° extruder and 85° bed temp. The fan was set to 0 for the first layer with 30 normal and 50 max for the remaining layers. This thread is BEAUTIFUL. I have ZERO artifacts. It was packaged well and should be one of the cleanest wraps (it's wound onto the spool very well so it shouldn't get tangled). My biggest issue with this thread (and the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is the spool itself! You started the filament in the middle of the spool which causes it to bounce every time the spool reaches that spot on my printer. Also, the hole on the inside of the spool is larger than other brands I've used, so your extruder motor will run a little harder. OVERALL: Use a temperature of 235/85 with a fan speed of 0/30/50. I would buy it again but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a weak extruder motor. If I could chat with the owner of the company, I would advise him/her to switch to a role with a more generic role type. If so, I would make this brand my new favorite Revain.
