Works very well, silicone sealant is your friend.
Although it has UK threads it will fit a 2" PVC threaded socket with US threads. I've added some silicone sealant and haven't had any leaks. I have confirms that the formula for liters is 12 pulses per liter. I've used this for a Raspberry Pi 3 based pool controller and it works fine.
