The fittings are excellent, the color of the paint is not permanent.

This was the perfect replacement for 30 year old hardware in a home we just bought and are renovating. But the paint on the latches scratches so easily that the paint is missing before we can test that they hold the doors. This was a disappointment as I spent $100,000 on renovations and the smallest thing in the house that needs replacing looks bad. I ordered a few more so I'll try a different plate from a different set and see if it's better. You may need to repaint them yourself.
