At first I thought I ordered the wrong item as the shank extended well past the hex section of the bracket which took too long. But after looking closely and comparing it to the original, I found that the switch part was snug with an interference fit inside the hex part and that it could be moved to the desired position. This is a very tight fit and it requires a decent amount of force to move it. I adjusted most of this prior to installation and then had the door closed for final positioning. Wire Installation Tip: Pass the wire connector through the hole and connect it to the switch before installing. Then twist the knot counterclockwise 6-8 turns. Then install it and there's little to no twisting of the wires, and you don't have to poke your hand through a tiny metal hole to try and connect the harness.
