The perfect tool for assembling power supply cables

I bought this to make homemade PC power cables. If you are making a complete set of power supply wires, you will need to strip more than 100 ends to the same length to prepare the ends for crimping the connectors. I used 16 AWG PVC wire for this job. First, several copper conductors were severed. This kit has a tool for that. With a little fiddling with this setup, I stripped all of the insulation without cutting any of the conductors. As for the strip length, it was a bit difficult to adjust the setting at first, but I ended up getting exactly what I needed. the length of each strip. I would have preferred a simpler setting. But always having the right length was more important to me than easy adjustment. For most stripping jobs this is not critical, but for ATX crimp contacts it is critical. After setting the right pressure and length, I was able to strip dozens of wires from both ends very quickly. This is the most important thing when making a complete custom power supply cord set. For the price, I was willing to trade a little fuss on the front for endlessly quick work on the back. My only complaint is that the strip salon can get clogged with isolation after a long session. However, clogged insulation can be quickly cleared by threading a short length of unstripped wire through the open jaws. If this is also your goal, I also recommend this crimping tool: /ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
