Our little flock of chicks love mealworms, especially our little Cochin rooster. He gets so excited when we put one of these blocks down for him that he stops and looks straight at us and says "Storm" to let us know how happy he is to get his favorite treat. It even stops cackling excitedly mid-peck. That's great fun for us. I don't give him too much as in the past he has burdened the crops by overeating on indigestible things like tall grass, hay etc. It's just a good snack for him and the rest of the herd. Of course wild birds love it too!
