Winter Snow Cover and Possible Summer Heat

January 8th 2021 Initial Thoughts: Ok as this was delivered today there really isn't much to say other than the ease of fitting and the design. I saw some other people's reviews mentioning the shiny side. I didn't really bother with the reviews when I was originally going to add the item to my Revain cart, so the idea of a shiny page didn't occur to me. But to make it more convenient to put the cover on I didn't time it, but I don't think it took me more than a minute or two to put it on. Probably more like 2 or so since today (January 8th 2021, same day I received the product) I removed the lid for the first time. I mean, it's actually not that hard (from my point of view) to figure out which side is up and which side is down. I mean the bottom is dished out and there are 2 flaps on opposite outer sides of the cover that need to be inserted into the driver and passenger side doors and then there are bungee straps that wrap around the mirrors. There are also magnets in the lid, I think stick it to the car itself without worrying about the lid swaying in the wind. The idea behind flaps is that you can later put the cover on the front of the car and not worry about it being stolen. Basically, I bought this item to make removing snow or frost from my car a little easier. However, another advantage of the cover can be that it significantly reduces the summer heat, especially in the middle of the day in summer. 2 days later Okay I threw away the cover and mirror covers the day I got them in January. 8. to see if it fits, which is a bit bigger than I'd like but might fall in the front doors a bit but, eh. I decided to leave both the mirror and windshield on overnight as I thought that I would be going to work the next morning on Saturday, and probably because where I live it will be a bit cold when I'm downstairs. in youthful Fahrenheit. Boy did I make the right move of leaving both the mirror caps and windshield cap on overnight because it was freezing on my car when I went out that morning. I saved myself a few minutes to remove frost from the car. The phone mentioned a youthful Fahrenheit feel and I think at this point I could probably say it's a pretty good product. Although it's not a full week, I'm not 100% sure. Now I know some have noticed that the title includes "summer heat", I know my review hasn't included summer temperature synarios yet. Unfortunately I can't turn on the REAL Summer Shinari yet as I live in the northern hemisphere and it's January. So as of this writing it is mostly below 45 Fahrenheit. So far I've gone to my car 2 or 3 times and found that the lid is up, probably mainly due to strong winds. I noticed that the straps that are supposed to go under the mirrors don't reach the bottom of the lid, so that could be part of the problem. Also, last night (as I write this) I noticed that some snow got under the cover. I went out to get my mail and noticed that the cover was rolled up again. So I decided to flip the lid back so the non-shiny side was facing up and I noticed that the magnets were stronger when the shiny side was facing down instead of up, leading me to wonder if the shiny side was facing up should show below. high. The learning curve for these things. 4/27/21 So now the warm months are coming in the northern hemisphere and since then I've noticed a few scratches on the car where the magnets are on the outer corners. I'm not sure if it's because of the people around me, or because I've moved and think scratching my car on the fenders is fun, or if it's just some small pebbles, stuck in magnets or something, but , yeah. There were days when it got warm outside and I went to my car and jumped in and it was a little warm inside, not hot but warm. What counts as such is, of course, subject to individual dispute. But I think it would be a lot hotter without a cover. I thought about this last night and now I understand why some people put something on the car windshield when they get out of the car. Now, of course, the cover is not reliable, sometimes mother nature turns it over and decides to put frost on the inside of the windshield in winter, it happened to me a couple of times. For the flip-up lid, this is partly due to wind getting under the lid and was partly solved by what I'm pretty sure are broken bits of asphalt that are now semi-small rocks at the bottom of the lid. You are responsible for your own attempt to use stones as weight.
