It is as good or better than the original filter
The foam collar is very tight where the original was a softer, looser foam. It seems to get dirty every time, which means it's good at catching dust. You CAN also wash the inner filter inside out with plenty of water, as well as the outer fins. They seem to be more stable than the originals. I tap this inner filter onto the outside of the cement to remove a surprising amount of dust. Plastic withstands and prepares a complete flush. Obviously the assembly takes about a day to dry.
