Review on Dorman 924 408 Upper Shock Mount: The Ultimate Solution for Reliable Shock Absorption by George Scoles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It is recommended to use carbide drill bits to drill existing holes.

A friend of mine tells me I installed these parts that you can't buy. Over the weekend in my 01 FORD Ranger XLT 4x4. And they didn't just install in minutes (after removing the stock bracket, it took a lot more than a few minutes. I recommend using carbide drill bits to drill out the existing mounting pins that attach the existing shock base to the vehicle frame). but I'm now able to do smoky burns all over town again! Excellent product, exact replacement and installation of the original shock absorbers both on the driver's side and on the rear passenger side.
