While gardening this year my corn garden was infested with aphids. Even chemical insecticides could not defeat them. Next year I will be pollinating the corn plants early with diatomaceous earth as a non-chemical organic insecticide, but this season I needed something that would allow me to remove the corn plants from the garden before the aphids spread to other plants. I tried to pull a corn plant or two out of the ground but found the aphids crawling all over my arms, hands and clothes. The only solution was to burn the corn. This propane lamp was perfect for the job. The torch is intimidating at first because it's loud, emits very large flames, and is difficult to tame at first. But after a little controlled experiment, it's a very useful tool in the shed. I would give it 5 stars but it would be helpful to have more detailed instructions or a link to a video to see how to use it. I'm stubborn so I wouldn't let the tool get any better than me. But I can see how frustrated and scared others can be, resulting in either a refund request or a low rating.
