This is a real raffia paper ribbon. One spool is enough! Berwick matte paper ribbon is the only type I use to gift wrap my customers' orders. This particular red variant of "IMPERIAL RED" is best described as a bright, cheerful candy apple red. It was perfect for Christmas wrapping, although I would have preferred it to be a little lower (like a fire engine?) but it was great. I plan to order it again for Valentine's Day gift wrapping. My ONLY complaint is that the color you see online is a little different from the actual color of the strap. For example, I once ordered Berwick "Olive" (I really liked it - light green / bright olive green), and when I reordered the same product - it was more muted and sage. Imperial Red's photo looks a little more orange than it really is. Enjoy the vibrant and versatile Imperial Red base color.
