Rated 3 specifically for the fact that TP-Link provide customer support although they couldn't help me to improve network performance. Router - the router gets 1. Previous attempts to set up a mesh network have failed miserably for me, but my Nighthawk router died and I've decided to try again. I bought the Google Nest mesh system locally and also ordered this TP-Link AX60 based on previous mesh experiences. The Nest system worked for almost 3 days and when I received the AX60 it was working pretty well. It took a few days for the nest to settle in and give me reliable and decent speed. When I hooked up and configured the AX60, my hopes were very high! The AX60 worked right out of the box and offered me more than twice the speed of the Nest when it was first connected. I hoped the speed would improve even more over time as he got used to it. Unfortunately it was the other way around. As the day progressed my speed dropped, slowing below 150 and up 0.34. The next day I hoped again that things would get better, but no. The speed continued to decrease. I called support, the first person didn't answer after a while so I called back. I got another support rep very quickly who walked me through resetting the dot device as the primary device and switching the main device to dot. We tested the speeds and they were great. 225 Down / 25 Up Wireless (300/30 fee). We hung up and after only 15-20 minutes the speed dropped back to less than 150 down/0.34 up. For some reason, this router doesn't seem able to maintain decent speeds after devices are added to it. I also had regular signal dropouts. After a second attempt to communicate with the support service, the person clearly did not read the notes from the first ticket. I deactivated the AX60 and set up Nest again. This router can't handle the traffic and maintain a decent WiFi speed of around 250 up/28 down. One thing i was disappointed with their support team was they said 150mbps is ok if i pay 300oo so AX60 goes back to Revain.
