Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ ERYONE Filament PLA 1.75mm Printer 2.2lbs - Additive Manufacturing Products by Jason Richardson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very nice matte look/texture and good print quality

This is the first matte PLA I've printed with and I wasn't sure how exactly it would differ from the 'traditional' PLA, that I printed. c before that I would definitely not call my previous prints glossy. However, this material has even less shine and is softer to the touch. A nice side effect of this is that subtle halos, which can be emphasized by reflections in other prints, all but disappear with this matt material. I've included photos of my calibration prints (temperature, retract distance, and retract speed). I've also included slow motion/photos of Benchy's obligatory 3D print (actually my first!). In my tests, I found a nozzle temperature of 195 optimal, with a draw distance of 4mm and a speed of 20mm/s. They were all printed on a slightly modified Eryone Thinker S. The only notable changes are the fan duct part and the BLTouch. My only concern is that self-adhesive film doesn't seem to perform as well as regular PLA. I'm talking about self-adhesion, not layer adhesion, because I didn't notice any separation between the layers, but I did notice that my edges have diverged into several pieces (this is a little at the edges on the front of the bench), which doesn't usually happen occurs. So adjacent lines of the same layer don't seem to stick as well as regular PLA, but that only seemed to really affect my edges, which are thrown away anyway. Not necessarily a problem, just an observation. Overall I really like this material and I look forward to using it for some future projects!
