I'm measuring floors for a design company. I'm trying to implement a measurement app and was frustrated to find I had to "upgrade" to a smaller laser than what I've been using for the last 5 years. See, if you're just using this as a weekend warrior, it will be perfect. Accuracy within 32 inches. The battery life seems to last a good month with continuous use, it is solid and reliable. Now, having used the Leica Disto D330i for the past 5 years, I'm spoiled. In comparison, the laser is cheap. Yes, it's light, but it's tapered. The design breaks the balance, making a straight line almost impossible to achieve. Because it's so light, I've managed to drop it a few times, which makes me wonder if it'll hold up in my clumsy attempt to use it. I understand this is a cheaper model and I could pay another $500 to get a better version. But my old version has Bluetooth and doesn't work with apps now, so why bother?
