Review on Ubiquiti Networks Unifi UAP-AC-PRO-US 802.11ac Dual-Radio PRO Access Point - Single, White by Barry Taylor

Nice little hotspot in Wireless Hotspots

So I installed this hotspot and have been using it for about 3 weeks. I have a lot of experience with enterprise setups on large setups (100-200 APs). I currently manage two locations, one is all Cisco and the other is Aruba. I'm saying this so you can get an idea of my experience with the wireless network, and you'll know that I'm comparing this access point and what I expect from it. The routers just couldn't keep up, which is what I needed. I currently have 4 AC clients and 2 N clients and they all require dedicated bandwidth. The AC-PRO was more than capable of handling whatever I threw at it. It contains everything you need to install and run. It took me about 3 minutes from connecting to the network to setting up the SSID for the first time and connecting the devices. Pros: - Very easy to set up and use - Comes with everything you need for installation - Great value for money - Doesn't need a controller - Small and sleek design - Comes with a power injector, the 802.3at PoE+ supported - Guest WiFi and guest portal (when using controller software) - Can be used outdoors. According to Ubiqiti, the weather protection software is easy to navigate and packed with features. Many of them are listed here: [.] Cons: - If there are any, I think they run hotter than other APs I've used. I look forward to getting 1 or 2 more of these for my home and testing the seamless transfer capabilities. I recommend this to any small business or homeowner who wants the best wireless experience. They are also suitable for larger companies. This is my new recommendation for friends asking which AP I recommend them (maybe UAP-AC-LITE model instead of PRO).
