To be really useful, a dent puller needs to grip the screw tight enough so that the puller itself can be used to insert the screw into the punched hole. (This is an important tip in its own right; the hole shouldn't be drilled. Instead, use a very sharp awl to punch it through, as this gives the screw more material around the hole to grab hold of and the tilt of the puller reduces a bulge when it pulls out the dent.) However, this dent remover cannot do this; The screw is so loose in the tip of the puller that it turns easily. You can somehow get around this by removing the tip from the puller shaft and using a screwdriver to drive in the screw, attach it to the plate and then put the puller back on the tip to pull the pull, but that's slow and messy. If you need to use this puller to make something that sits in a recess, that tilt may not be possible.
