Review on Epicurean Gourmet Cutting 19 5 Inch 15 Inch Kitchen & Dining by David Kits

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good quality, made in the USA but hard to justify the price.

Equivalent to $10 polyethylene cutting boards you can buy anywhere except they look cool and are made in the USA from renewable/recycled materials. It leaves scratches from contact with the knife, just like any other cutting board. So far the marks are visible, but you can't feel them when you run your hand over the board, which is a good sign. I have a very sensitive nose and have to call BS about the smell. Yes, when it's wet it smells a bit like dead fish. But it doesn't transfer to food, and I suspect it will pass over time. For me it's a good big board that feels solid so far, should be knife friendly, is made in the USA which I'm lucky to have. enough to be able to afford it. Hmmm. I wonder how it will hold up to bleaching. Keep for updates. ;-)
