We live in a community where not only is there all sorts of rust and hard water to deal with, but there's a constant flow of solids getting into the plumbing and I have to constantly disassemble the plumbing to operate my faucets or shower. We bought a whole house water filter and it didn't seem to solve the problem. I didn't know what to do, but then I heard someone say that you can use a higher micron level filter. After some research I found that 1 micron was the highest level (at least for my filtration system) so we decided to give it a try. So far they've been great. We immediately noticed the difference. We expected less water pressure, but we actually got more water pressure because after cleaning our lines, the filter will retain solids in our lines and filter faster than a clogged line! we are so happy My husband was particularly pleased with the great shower pressure! I hope it stays that way! :)
