The price is right, the coffee comes out just as good as the famous brand. I don't find it too loud at all. I think they are all a bit noisy. The 1st cup is brewed for a long time. Longer than brand names but I just press the start button and then take the cream and sweetener, pour in some, stir and pour in hot coffee. Once you set your cup down and remove the cream, it will begin to flow. If you make a second cup, it will come out pretty quickly. It's a relatively small size, smaller than the main brand, but I wouldn't call it mini.
