A little smaller
I used this to flare a 3/8" aluminum fuel line. This is the second largest bell for this instrument. Almost all your strength goes into expanding a 3/8" aluminum rod. For copper 1/2" good luck. This tool should be a little more "heavy duty". If you're diligent, though, take your time , make sure the cut is burr free and the cut is straight and even THEN the torch will not leak like my first flash did.Be sure to read the instructions, the instructions contain very important information.
