Review on ๐Ÿšด Byway 40 x 700 TCS Light/Fast Rolling 120tpi Dual DNA SG2 Tire: Unmatched Performance and Durability by Joshua Gallegos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best tires I've ever had on gravel and road wet and dry - I run them tubeless! It's complicated

I'm rewriting this review after using Byway tires on South Florida gravel roads known as Levvee's in the Everglades for the last 2 months. Rating I gave them 1 star! However, I changed mine - But the bad points are still bad - The good points far outweigh the bad points So first the bad bad bad points Bought two of these! Firstly they are really hard to use without tubes, I ride without tubes, you need a compressor or a CO2 cartridge to inflate them the first time! Second, they flow off the sidewalls like crazy! They literally don't keep the air inside for more than a few days! Now ok once you inflated them I used a CO2 cartridge to put them on the rims and in Stan's Race Formula Goo (3-4 ounces needed). These are the smoothest and fastest tires I've ever ridden - I've ridden them about 500 miles on gravel and road! I would only buy this tire for my gravel bike! They're 38mm wide, not 40mm, but they're better than any 40mm tire! They need regular love and attention as they need to be pumped up before a ride, but you can run them at 30-35psi and they will be AMAZING STEADY, taking out bumps and bumps when going 16mph and on gravel paths. 100% the best tires I've ever had! I would recommend these tires to anyone who rides gravel roads. I would finally buy them again at this price NO CHANCE, they must be better!

Pros
  • Tires and tubes
Cons
  • I don't remember but something happened
