Review on Ford Door Latch Cable Repair Kit for F-series, E-series, Ranger, Expedition, Excursion, Navigator - Repairs Eight Cables (6 Standard + 2 LOCKING CAM) by Duy Desperado

Works well but will pinch the cable if you don't pre-drill in the middle of the surface before installing.

Works almost as expected. There are many videos on YouTube with installation instructions, but I noticed that there is a point missing from the video. These ends will pinch the steel cable as you squeeze them together to fit the shackle. This pinching can easily be avoided by pre-drilling a 1/8 inch diameter hole in the center of the end of the cable jacket through which the cable will pass. (before you mount it to the cable) If you can fit one of the teeth of the vice into the notch, you can very easily push the pliers down to hold each of those ends of the cable jacket while you drill the hole in the center, without deform the end of the cable sheath. If you pinch a cable, simply spray some lube on the end of the cable and run the cable back and forth a few times. The steel cable will make its own groove at these points. The cable's soft aluminum jacket terminates with very little effort.
