Motorhomes have a magnetic reed switch on the front door that activates the electric step to open or lower. A magnet is attached to the edge of the door and a reed switch is attached to the outer frame of the door. Now here's the catch. Some stages activate when the switch is open, others when closed. The gift can be the color of the switch (white or dark). In any case, if you make a mistake, the step will work exactly the opposite of what it should.
