Review on KENUCO 19 Inch Steel Hinged Extendable Wall Mount Bracket Network Equipment Rack (4U Hinged-Extendable) by James Martin

A major disadvantage, almost perfect for my needs

Unfortunately this is a very important thing that does not work well. Mounting holes and screws do not match perfectly or are uneven. The screws appear to be standard for rack mounting, but the hole sizes seem inconsistent. I had to loosen a few screws with an impact wrench. Bad thread, holes too small. Reading other reviews, my rack differed in hardware - lots of extra mounting screws (may or may not fit specific holes) and no fasteners at all, not even anchor bolts like the others. I installed the studs using drywall screws and washers. Another weird inconsistency is that I've read the holes are 15.5 inches apart. Mine were exactly 16 inches down the middle. Either they're made in different factories, or they've released a new model without mention, or the quality assurance is some of the worst I've seen. The stand itself is perfect for my needs. It's the smallest depth (9.5 inches), but there's also the option to expand it if I ever need it, dubious. The steel is durable, once installed it looks very reliable. But the rack mount holes are so bad. I ended up getting it working, but it's a shame I didn't go with an established brand. The price is really good but I'm not sure if it's worth the cons. This will work, but you may need to force something or do other work to make it work as intended depending on which version you get.
