With this drill bit I cut a 6" by 3" slab of walnut about 1 inch. It took half a day, I did several passes. I think with a more powerful router I could do that. I did it faster, the limiting factor was the power of the router, and I ended up having to make each pass about half the depth of the router blade to avoid overheating. The racquet was like new after the job was done and I think I could make a few more with no problems. Work with it while wearing gloves. He's damn sharp. Keep an eye on your router, it will fail long before that. I have a 2hp de Walt and it needs a break. every hour or so to cool off.
