Washboard Effect for Cutter

The blade cuts well but does not appear to be perpendicular to the shaft as it leaves a washboard effect as can be seen in the photo. This is after the blade has been run both ways. No more than 3/32 inch from this side. Hope it gets polished. The slab is much flatter (flatter) than it was before cutting. It took about 30 minutes to one side of the slab, so I didn't push it. I have a 2-1/2 HP router, but sometimes the blade would stall at the thickest point (3/32").

Pros
  • HIGH QUALITY CNC CUTTER: Sharp cutter with carbide tip, durable hardened steel body with anti-kickback. Heat-resistant Teflon coating. This CNC router is specifically designed and manufactured to provide the high quality required for industrial woodworking applications. The BINSTAK cutter will stand up to the rigors of use and the test of time.
Cons
  • Low repairability

Solid Walnut Panel Cutter

With this drill bit I cut a 6" by 3" slab of walnut about 1 inch. It took half a day, I did several passes. I think with a more powerful router I could do that. I did it faster, the limiting factor was the power of the router, and I ended up having to make each pass about half the depth of the router blade to avoid overheating. The racquet was like new after the job was done and I think I could make a few more with no problems. Work with it while wearing gloves. He's damn sharp. Keep an eye on…

Solid Walnut Slab Milling Bit

Use this bit to cut approximately 1" off a 6" x 3" slab of walnut. It took me half a day and I did several passes. I think I could do it faster with a more powerful router, router power was the limiting factor and I had to make each pass about half as deep as the drill bit to avoid overheating. It's as good as new after the job is done and I think I could make a few more without a problem. Wear gloves when handling. He's damn sharp. Watch your router, it will die long before that. I have a 2hp…

High quality bits at an affordable price

High quality bits at an affordable price! I did many comparisons before purchasing this spoiler and was skeptical based on the old adage you get what you pay for. Fortunately, that saying doesn't apply to this purchase. The overall design of the bit is solid and precisely made. I noticed a stone less than 0.5mm at the bottom of the drill but was able to fix it with a diamond file. I am very happy with my purchase and expect it to last a long time. I'm using this with a Bosch 2.3HP MR32 router…

A reliable choice for leveling slabs - and a few tips

I decided to try this router for leveling some cherry wood slabs. So far I've had absolutely no issues with this racquet - I suspect reviewers who have experienced burns or the racquet dulling quickly overheat it. You must have a variable speed router to run this bit at the correct speed. This drill can remove a lot of wood in a hurry, but it works much better when you do it slowly. Here are the details I found that will maximize your success with this bit: 1. MAX SALES 16000 - I found this…
