Review on CNC Router Bit Wood NITOMAK by Chad Carter

A reliable choice for leveling slabs - and a few tips

I decided to try this router for leveling some cherry wood slabs. So far I've had absolutely no issues with this racquet - I suspect reviewers who have experienced burns or the racquet dulling quickly overheat it. You must have a variable speed router to run this bit at the correct speed. This drill can remove a lot of wood in a hurry, but it works much better when you do it slowly. Here are the details I found that will maximize your success with this bit: 1. MAX SALES 16000 - I found this seller's answer in the questions above. Slower works well too.2. Make only half (or less) the width of the cut - in this case, 1 inch or less for each cut. I use a medium router (1-3/4 HP) and it starts to freeze and overheat when I try to cut 1/4 inch or deeper. You could make a deeper cut with a larger cutter, but I suspect the bit will last longer if you don't press on it too.4. In hindsight this seems obvious but it took me a while to figure it out - as the cut gets deeper you can decrease the width of the cut and the stress on the router/cutter stays the same. For example, cutting 1/4 inch deep and 1/2 inch wide will remove the same amount of wood as cutting 1/8 inch deep and 1 inch wide. If plate deformation causes a deeper cut, you can make narrower passes instead of adjusting the depth of cut.
