I had to repair a broken thread in a timing cover. The 8-32 thread is a pretty small thread. My bike has two threaded holes holding the point plate and someone in the past just cut one of the holes. I decided to drill and install these inserts in both threaded holes. I have found that helical coils provide stronger threads than plain aluminum threads. This set had everything you needed except for the standard drill bit which I already had. It installed easily and now the threads are fine and my ignition plate is secure.
