I bought this for check valves and vents

This is a nice little kit but I will continue to use the clear tubing you can find at the store. Who told you that this air hose is a standard size? If you compare this tube to the clear tubes you find at your regular pet supply store, you will notice that the opening in this tube is much smaller than those found at the pet store. This is most likely why people complain about it not staying on the filters or components it comes with. This practically prevents the air flow from flowing through.
