I usually carry a new pair of golf shoes around the house for several days in order to "break them apart". I'm not sure if an extra break is needed. Most golf shoes are not that stiff when new. They appear to be of decent quality, are not sold as 100% 'waterproof' - time will tell, they are a bit narrow. I ordered a wide one, and if I didn't have one . they will be even more uncomfortable.
