Review on ๐Ÿš™ Rough Country 3/4" Front Coil Spacers for 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Enhance Suspension Performance and Clearance by Billy Reeves

Fits and works as it should

These spacers fit and work as expected on my 2004 Grand Cherokee. The instructions were clear and included pictures to understand what/how/where the parts would be installed and installed. The price is for a simple gasket set. The spacers helped straighten the jeep but were not strictly necessary to fit the BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A P255/70r16 (this size fits snugly, wider and slightly taller without chafing and also fits the spare tire well). I ran into a little catch. Install spacer - axle is not lowered enough on passenger side to pull spring out and install spacer. The upper suspension arm hit the catalytic converter (4.7L V-8) and prevented the fall. I had to unscrew this connection to lower the axle, which was not mentioned in the instructions. Replacing this bolt required some juggling with two jack stands to get the axle at the right angle. This probably won't be a problem on the Inline 6 and may not be a problem on other years. Note that this is a Jeep issue, not a spacer issue, and the issue will be the same with any shim kit, lift springs, or even the factory Up Country spring. If you're familiar with how the suspension works, it doesn't matter, and if this is your first adventure with front axle suspension, just be patient.
